Cheap Eats:

Happy Vietnam
A small location serving up large portions of Vietnamese cuisine, in the hip 7th district in walking distance to the most popular shopping street (Mariahilfer Strasse).Try the 18a: Spicy Bun Noodles with Pork and Spring Rolls. Perfect for take-away. Call ahead for easy pick-up.

Natsu Sushi
Half-price sushi. Museumsquartier location great for pick up.

Der Wiener Deewan
Take-what-you-want pay-as-you-wish buffet-style Packistani restaurant popular with students. Always good vegeterian options. A 5,- € contribution minimum recommended. Take-away possible for by-the-kilo prices.

Dr. Falafel
Located in the heart of Vienna’s famous Naschmarkt, reputedly the best falafel in town. You’ll fight through the crowds to get there, so take it slow and sample the market on your way.

€ to €€ depending on your willingness to share!
For over 38 years, Schnitzelwirt has offered the traditional Viennese experience of large tables, large beers, and a large selection of large schnitzels. Can be busy, so call ahead for reservations, especially for outdoor seating. May be closed for summer holidays.

There are several Kolars, all popular with students. Excellent beer and reasonably priced food: filled pita bread, only - so good!

Great for beer and good Austrian food, located in the pictoresque Spittelberg area of the 7th district.

Gasthaus Kopp
Off the beaten track, a big, traditional "Gasthaus" with cheap but very good food, big portions. Like in the "old days" you'll share the table with other customers once the place gets crowded.
